WHATS NEW FOR PERISHER 2009

Resort Information

What's New?

There have been many new additions and changes made in Perisher for 2009, here's a few...

$19 Million Investment Delivers Top-to-Bottom Snowmaking on
Mt Perisher and Happy Valley

Perisher's three-year $19 million investment in snowmaking culminates in 2009 with a $5.7 million commitment to new snowmaking covering the Happy Valley area and on Towers Run on Mt Perisher.

We've added an extra 10.86 hectares of snowmakingcovered terrain, giving us a new total of 54.3 hectares. And we've added 68 new automated Techno Alpin snow guns, increasing Perisher's total number of (snow) guns to 271.

New Identity

A new year, a new look and a subtle change to our name! Perisher now becomes simply “Perisher” from 2009, which best reflects the fusion of all 4 resort areas under one name. The new Perisher identity signifies the enormous size and diversity of the terrain that distinguishes it as Australia's premier snowsports resort.

Perisher Centre Lower Level Upgrade

Buying Mountain Passes, booking a Snowsports School product and hiring and purchasing equipment has now become much easier in the new-look Perisher Centre. A new streamlined layout of the lower level will assist guests navigating their way through each area, saving them valuable time and improving their experience.

Snowsports Skier Conveyor

A new skier conveyor for the Milo Kids Learning Area on Front Valley, making learning to ski or board that much easier and of course more fun!

Thursday's - Perisher's Night of Lights!

Every Thursday* enjoy extended Tube Town opening hours then catch our spectacular fireworks display on Front Valley from 7.00pm. First have fun snowtubing, then join us from 6.00pm at Jax for an early meal or drink, from there watch the magic of the fireworks. The perfect way to cap off a great day. *Conditions apply
