Booking conditions:
This website has the same booking conditions as our brochures which follows.
General: This brochure contains prices applicable for travel between 08 June – 01 October 2008. or the International brochure dates.
These prices are calculated from costs provided to Snowscene from Suppliers as at time of Brochure Printing (20 Dec 2007).
Every endeavour has been made by Snowscene to ensure that the contents of this brochure are accurate and correct at the time of printing.
Snowscene can not be held liable for any amendments or errors to any information contained in this brochure if any Supplier increases costs after publication date, and with its suppliers, reserve the right to amend any details including pricing at any time without advice.
Snowscene reserves the right to amend or cancel any of its coach transfers, express coach departures or coach tours for any reason at any time without notice, in which case any monies held on behalf of passengers for the cost of this coach service will be refunded. If possible an alternative service may be suggested.
Snobus Pty Ltd t/a Snowscene or Ski Scene Travel whilst acting in good faith does not accept any responsibility for injury, death, accident, delay, inconvenience, loss of damage to persons or property or for related expenses, whether by default, negligence or otherwise on the part of employees or suppliers providing services in this Brochure.
While Snowscene endeavours to see that you are aware of all aspects of your holiday, we can not be held liable for any information you did not receive because it was not asked of us, misheard from us or not passed onto you. Prices are always subject to to change due to market prices & exchange rates, and surchages from suppliers. Snowscene/Ski scene is not held liable for any changes to prices from suppliers.
Snowscene acts as an agent for services provided by Suppliers and as such makes no representation or warranty with respect to the standard of service, transport or accommodation given by any of the Suppliers who provide these services mentioned in this Brochure. The Company shall not be held responsible or liable to any person in the event of such persons dissatisfaction with such services.
Flights, Transfers, Car Hire, Accommodation, Equipment/ Clothing Hire, Lift Passes, Lessons or any other component may not be available during specific periods and are always subject to availability at the time of booking.
Goods and Services Tax: GST is applicable and as required by the Australian Tax Office, has been included in the cost of services published in this brochure, currently at 10%.
Apartment Bookings: Security deposits do apply to selected properties. They are payable directly on checking in, and will be advised to you.
Deposit payment: For all holidays (excluding our Snobus Coach Tour) a deposit of 50% of the TOTAL reservation cost is payable within 7 days of Snowscene confirming your arrangements to you. A reservation is considered confirmed only when a Reservation Confirmation & Tax Invoice is sent to you and monies have been received by Snowscene. After 7 days from confirmation, bookings with no monies received will be automatically cancelled without advice. By paying a deposit on a confirmed booking, you agree to Snowscene’s booking conditions.
Balance payment: Is required 60 days prior to your start date. Failure to do this may result in your booking being automatically cancelled without advice and no refund of the monies already received.
Amendment Fees: For all amendments made outside 21 days prior to the start date, Snowscene charges $50 per booking reference number to cover the expenses involved in any component of your booking being changed in any way. For all amendments made inside 21 days prior to the start date, Snowscene charges $30 per person on each booking reference number to cover the expenses involved in any component of your booking being changed in any way. These fees are in addition to any charges that any supplier may charge.
Cancellation Fees: For all cancellations made outside 60 days prior to the start date, Snowscene charges $100 per person on each booking reference number to cover the expenses involved in processing the booking. For all cancellations made inside 60 days prior to the start date, there is no refund. These fees are in addition to any charges that any supplier may charge, which can be 100% non refundable.
Late Reservation Fees: For all reservations made within 14 days prior to departure, Snowscene will incur additional communication and documentation costs. A fee of $50 per booking reference number will be automatically added to your booking. If a booking is made within 60 days prior to the start date, full payment is required upon Snowscene confirming the arrangements. All of our conditions are in addition to any specific conditions mentioned in our brochures.
Documentation: Snowscene issues documentation 10 – 14 days prior to your start date. If they are required earlier for any reason, Snowscene must be advised at least 2 weeks prior to the date required other wise, your own arrangements (eg. Express Post Envelope, Courier) will need to be made and paid for to receive them urgently. Once issued, documents can not be re issued. It is therefore the responsibility of the agent or client to provide us with accurate postal details, and any costs incurred by Snowscene in making alternate arrangements for missing documentation will be passed onto the agent or client.
Refunds: No refund can be issued for unused air travel, coach transfers, accommodation, equipment/ clothing hire, lift passes, lessons or any other components. Any refunds due can not be made until Snowscene has been refunded the amounts paid to the suppliers.

Snow and Weather Conditions: Snowscene and its suppliers cannot be held responsible for any snow and/ or weather conditions. Amendment or cancellation to your booking due to snow and/ or weather conditions do not exempt you from our conditions.
Travel Insurance: Snowscene strongly recommends that you obtain adequate Travel Insurance. For a very small investment, Travel Insurance can protect you against such contingencies as cancellation fees, loss of baggage, theft of ski equipment, additional expenses and personal liability. Snowscene is an authorized representative of QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited ABN 78003191035 (Insurer). The Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) should be considered before purchase, please contact us. Please note that under the provisions of the Health Act, it is illegal to cover medical and hospital expenses in a domestic travel insurance policy. We also strongly recommend that you subscribe to Ambulance Cover.
Alcohol and Smoking: Government laws now prevent the consumption of alcohol and smoking on coaches.
