Australia

Due to the early snow falls, and unprecedented demand we are unable to assist with ski packages to the Australian Ski Resorts for the rest of the 2022 ski season due to limited availability and minimum stay requirements.

Looking for an alternative?

How about a ski getaway or spring holiday to New Zealand?

***

Our own backyard has plenty to offer skiers and snowboarders alike.  Australia is a perfect ski destination for first timers and families, and those wanting to get a ‘snow-fix’ (Jun-Sep) before their Northern hemisphere snow holiday (Dec-Apr). The beautiful and unique concept about skiing Australia compared to New Zealand is that most resorts are ski in ski out, which takes the hassle out of travelling to the slopes every day.

New South Wales

Perisher – 3hrs drive from Canberra, Perisher is the largest ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere and includes Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes, Guthega and Blue Cow and their associated ski fields.  A day trip to Charlotte Pass on an oversnow transfer is great fun for the whole family and if you are staying 7+ nights this is certainly recommended to experience a resort nearby to Perisher.

Thredbo – 3hrs drive from Canberra,  in the Snowy Mountains, Thredbo is a unique ‘all year round’ resort with a welcoming village vibe.  You can choose to stay in Thredbo Village or Friday Flat depending on the experience you are after. For first timers the learn to ski area is at Friday Flat and this is an ideal location for families and beginners alike.  A short stroll or free shuttle connects you to Thredbo Village.

Victoria

Mount Buller – An easy 3hr drive from Melbourne, Mt Buller is the only ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere with a ‘snow guarantee’ for the complete season – thanks to their extensive snow making facilities.  You will love skiing snowboarding from the front door of your hotel or apartment, as well strolling around Mt Buller’s European style village.

Falls Creek – 5hrs drive from Melbourne & 2.5hrs drive from Albury, this compact ski resort in north-eastern Victoria is excellent for beginners & intermediates with accommodation ‘on snow’ at Falls Creek village above the gorgeous little town of Mt Beauty.

Mount Hotham – 3hrs drive from Albury and 5hrs drive from Melbourne… a rental car is the best way to go.  Mt Hotham is ideally suited to intermediate to advanced riders, the side country and back country terrain are also a major draw card, as is the cross country skiing areas.
