The highlands of Appi Kogen sit right to the North-East Honshu.
Amazing powder snow blankets each of Appi’s mountains, with 828-metres vertical rise from peak to base. Appi’s 21 trails are accessed with ease and comfort. Appi Kogen offers fantastic variety, with everything from bunny slopes, a 5.5 km cruiser, to steep and deep runs for adrenaline seekers.

Appi Kogen is located in latitude 40° N where world’s famous ski resorts such as Austria’s Arlberg and USA’s Aspen are located. The ski resort is on the Mt. Maemori (1305m/4281ft) and Mt. Nishimori (1328m/4357ft) in the Hachimantai National Park. Most slopes are facing north side that keeps snow conditions well because of lesser direct sun hitting on slopes during the day. Also, our well-known Aspirin snow (light and fine snow flakes) makes skiers and snowboarders enjoy riding from early December till early May. Starting with the longest run of Yamabato” Run (5500m) for beginners, we proudly have the large scale of 21 different terrains that are similar to Europe’s and America’s resorts for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.
APPI’s premium hotel options is APPI Grand Tower, which is the major feature of the landscape at APPI resort. Offering superior rooms with views over the resort, all rooms are western style with ensuite facilities. Excellent Hotel facilities including five individual restaurants, large hot springs, private spas and a sports club, including indoor pool, gym and squash courts.

Appi Grand Villa is located in a ski-in and ski-out location, just a few minutes from the main APPI Gondola. The Western / Japanese combination rooms in the hotel are spacious and comfortable. This Hotel option is more economical than the Grand and Tower and perfect for small groups and a family. Rooms are western or Western / Japanese combination with ensuites.
