Niseko
Niseko is located in the south west corner of Hokkaido, the north island of Japan. The area is also known as Niseko Hirafu or Hirafu village. Sapporo is Hokkaido’s capital city. It is about two hours north east of Niseko. The main airport for Sapporo is New Chitose Airport. Travel time from New Chitose to Niseko is about two hours and forty minutes.
Kutchan is the nearest major town. It is about six kilometres away. A public bus runs regularly between Niseko and Kutchan. The journey is approximately 20 minutes long. The Niseko skiing area is made up of three separate resorts – Niseko Grand Hirafu, Niseko Higashiyama and Niseko An’nupuri. The lift pass included in your package gives you access to each of these resorts. The resorts can be accessed using the lifts or by catching a free bus (It is only free if you are carrying a valid lift pass). We suggest you take a guided tour on your first day so that you can quickly learn the best ways around the mountain.
