Nozawa ranks amongst one of the best ski resorts in Japan with a excellent course layout and great selection of runs offering great skiing and snowboarding experiences for beginners right through to the most advanced. From the top of Nozawa Onsen breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding national parks and the Japan Alps are to be had.
The village has a great sense of tradition and feeling of Japanese spirit with beautiful old streets and a bustling village full of history, culture and festivals. The village is also famous for its public hot-springs, with more than 30 springs located throughout the resort. On January 15th of every year one of the most famous fire festivals in Japan is held in Nozawa Onsen which is truly an amazing spectacal.

Canyons offer native English language ski and snowboard instruction in Nozawa Onsen. Professional international instructors – kids specialists, family lessons, pipe & park clinics or powder lessons. Full day or half day private lessons.
One of the gems of Japanese skiing - a traditional village at the base of the a resort which boast 37 runs, over 1,000 metres of vertical and almost 300 hectares of slopes. A great mix of terrain for all levels, trees, great snow, and the massive top to bottom Skyline trail. Cruisy groomers for the kids as well as a decent park and pipe. Famous for its insane Fire Festival on January 15th every year and its abundance of free public hot spring baths dotted throughout the town.
