Rusutsu Resort is in the same general area as Niseko. It is about one-and-half hours south west of Sapporo. Passengers for Rusutsu will also come into New Chitose Airport. Travel time from New Chitose to Niseko is about two hours. There are a limited number of services available in Rusutsu.
The village at the base of the resort is much smaller. There are no international ATM’s available in the Rusutsu Resort. The Rusutsu skiing area is made up of two areas – East Mountain and West Mountain. The two are joined by a series of Gondolas. Your lift pass is valid at both areas. However, please note it does not include night skiing. All the lifts at Rusutsu are hooded lifts. We suggest you take a guided tour on your first day so that you can quickly learn the best ways around the mountain.
