Hello Skiers & Snowboarders

Ski the Canadian Rockies of Alberta – true winter wonderland!
The province of Alberta is home to Canada’s true Rocky Mountain resorts, with breathtaking scenery, winter wonderland activities, castle like hotels, and rustic cabins, complimented by majestic mountains with a variety of runs for all abilities. Major resort areas include Mt. Norquay, Lake Louise Ski Area, Sunshine Village in Banff-Lake Louise, and Marmot Basin in Jasper.
Banff-Lake Louise is located just 90 minutes from Calgary International Airport in the heart of Canada’s first National Park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Skiers and boards have access to one convenient, tri-area lift ticket in Banff-Lake Louise that covers almost 8,000 acres of skiable terrain, suitable for every level and desire, from gentle groomed runs to some of the world's most extreme in-bounds challenges. The Banff-Lake Louise Club ski program has won the Neilson Marque of Excellence Award for the fifth time, offering a three day, three resort tuition program with the same instructor to enhance turns on the mountain for every ability and desire.
Accessible by the Via Rail Snowtrain or a scenic drive along the Icefield Parkway is Marmot Basin Ski Resort in Jasper. Throughout the Canadian summer, Marmot Basin will be installing the longest high speed quad detachable chairlift in the Alberta Canadian Rockies. The new high speed chair will be 2.3 km in length and will whisk skiers and boarders up almost 2,000 vertical feet in 7.5 minutes.
It is always a winter wonderland in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta where there’s no better place to share old time traditions and make new memories. Picture castle like hotels, rustic cabins, warm fire places, ice sculptures, and the magic of winter reflecting from snowflakes that settle on thousands of pine trees, and that’s winter in Banff-Lake Louise and Jasper.
Stunning mountain backdrops, lack of lift lines, and friendly local hospitality are just some of the bonuses that make a ski holiday in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta unforgettable. Not to mention the elk and big horn sheep wondering the street outskirts, as skiers and snowboarders enjoy après ski activities.
